Nowadays many celebrities are giving these dab after a cool news, an achievement or may be without any reason. Such an example of Neymar giving a dab during the Olympics.

This article is about the restriction in giving a dab for a Muslim.

What is a dab dance? (Wikipedia)

 Dabbing, or the dab, is a simple dance move in which a person drops the head into the bent crook of a slanted arm, often while raising the opposite arm in a parallel direction but out straight. Since 2015, it has also been used as a gesture of triumph or playfulness, becoming a youthful American cultural sensation. The move looks similar to someone sneezing into the "inside" of the elbow. However it have a darker meaning inside.

Origins

Dab was first invented by a hip-hop dance group in Atlanta in 2010. Although there is a disagreement between Migos and Skippa Da Flippa who originated this move. Controversy cleared up when Migos confirmed Skippa as the inventor. However these are not the points you are looking for.

A dab is mainly a drug from the juice of Cannabis(weed). The move came out from the sneeze when you hit it. That means with this move you are giving a priority to a drug. There is a religion between some American Hip-Hop dancers and musicians named “SATANISM”. Those who has invented this dance are mostly belong to this religion. Satanism is a religion for the followers of Satan. “Don’t follow the footsteps of ‘Shaitan’ (Satan), surely he is to you an open enemy.”(surah al-anaam ayah 142). So it is very likely to avoid this haram work.

Most teenagers and new generations who are doing dab nowadays don’t know about this. So spread this news about dab. Note- I am not telling to promote or share this blog, just make this news spread and make sure to avoid this.

Some additional NEWS about dab- In Saudi Arabia dab is restricted by the National Committee for Drug Control as it was deemed that it “alludes to weed and illegal substances”, In August 2017, Saudi singer and actor Abdallah Al Shaharani was arrested performing the move at a music festival.
